Notification Regarding Extraordinary Loss

Tokyo, July 29, 2008 - Impress Holdings, Inc. (TSE: 9479) today announced that it will record an extraordinary loss as follows:

1. Details of Extraordinary Loss

　An impairment loss is being recognized on investment securities that do not have a market value, representing investments in three companies. The Company has determined that the actual values of these securities have fallen significantly below their book values, creating a valuation loss on investment securities.
　The recognition of this impairment loss will impact consolidated results in the amount of 100 million yen, and the impact on parent results will be 108 million yen.

2. Future Outlook

　This extraordinary loss will be larger than the initially forecast extraordinary gain from insurance claim receipts announced on April 30, 2008. Further extraordinary gains from the sale of equity holdings are anticipated, however, and the consolidated results and dividend forecasts announced on May 15, 2008, are unchanged.
