Impress Launches "Impress Watch Chinese Edition"
Tokyo, September 22, 2006 - Impress Holdings, Inc. (TSE: 9479), announced today that Impress Group, in cooperation with the Chinese IT information media group ChinaByte Group, has launched a new "Impress Watch Chinese Edition" (Chinese name: Impress Watch’†•¶â‹; http://impress.yesky.com) and begun operating a full-scale Internet business in China.
The Impress Watch Chinese Edition is a Chinese-language distribution service that picks up information for Chinese readers, including news and event reports, from Japanese articles on the Impress Watch (http://www.watch.impress.co.jp) comprehensive digital news service operated by Impress Watch Corporation. The Japanese site currently distributes articles in 11 categories including "PC Watch" and "INTERNET Watch," and these have been reclassified for the Chinese market into the four categories of "IT," "Digital Camera," "Audio-Visual" and "Amusement." In addition to Japanese articles translated into Japanese, the site also carries articles based on the ChinaByte Group's own reporting of news, product information, etc. related to Japanese IT companies in China.
The service is operated as a channel on the "Yesky.com" (http://www.yesky.com/) IT information service operated by the ChinaByte Group in China.
