Announcement regarding Extraordinary Gain

　Tokyo, November 17, 2005 -- Impress Holdings, Inc. (TSE: 9479) announces that it will record the following extraordinary gain.

1. Reasons for and Details of Gain

　As per the press release dated November 16, 2005, the Company has incurred an extraordinary loss in the amount of \133 million, and intended to sell a portion of its equity holdings in relation to this loss. The Company has therefore sold the following investment securities, and will record an extraordinary gain in the amount of \129 million as a result of the sale.

(1)	Dates of sale of investment securities
	November 15-16, 2005

(2)	Details of sale of investment securities
	Equities sold:	MACROMILL, INC.
	No. of shares sold:	272 shares
	Amount of sale:	\131 million (profit from sale - \129 million)

2. Effect on Business Results

　As the amounts of the extraordinary gain and extraordinary loss are roughly equivalent, the Company expects the effect on the parent and consolidated results forecasts for the full year to March 31, 2005, announced on November 8, 2005, to be negligible.
