Tokyo, Jun. 7, 2004 -- Impress Corporation (TSE: 9479) has purchased shares of Kindai Kagaku Sha Co., Ltd., making that company a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Kindai Kagaku Sha publishes books used as university textbooks in the fields of computer science, mathematics, and electronics as well as technical references for industrial engineers and has published articles for the Japan Society for Software Science and Technology and the Information Processing Society of Japan. Impress has acquired this company to expand the Groupfs business activities and enhance its corporate value as a media group focusing on areas of expertise.
